Application Process

1. Obtain a Job Offer: Secure a job offer from a UAE-based company. Your employer will often assist with the visa application process.

2. Obtain a Work Permit: Your employer will apply for a work permit (also known as a labor card) on your behalf through the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

3. Medical Test: Undergo a medical fitness test at an authorized health center in Dubai. This is usually required before obtaining the visa.

4. Apply for Employment Visa:

   • Initial Approval: Your employer will obtain an initial approval from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
   • Visa Application: Submit the necessary documents to the UAE’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) or the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA).
   • Submit Documents: Provide all required documents including your passport, medical certificate, employment contract, and proof of qualifications.

5. Processing Time: Processing times can vary, but generally take a few weeks to a couple of months. Your employer or a visa service provider can provide more specific timelines.

6. Receive Employment Visa: Once approved, you will receive your employment visa. This is typically issued first as an entry permit, which allows you to enter the UAE. After completing the necessary formalities inside the country (such as medical tests and Emirates ID registration), the residence visa will be stamped in your passport.
